1. Jewel in the Lotus: The Tantric Path to Higher Consciousness by Sunyata Saraswati and Bodhi Avinasha and its companion book The Ipsalu Formula: A Method for Tantra Bliss
by Bodhi Avinasha. Focuses on tantra as a path of spiritual growth and
self-realization. This is an advanced course based on Tantra Kriya
Yoga. A must read for anyone who wishes to go deeper into the spiritual
practice of tantra.

2. Charles and Caroline Muir. Tantra: The Art of Conscious Loving
Excellent introduction to neo-tantric philosophy and practice. Written
for couples who wish to deepen their connection and elevate their
lovemaking experience to new levels. Good for the beginner.
3. The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment
by Eckhart Tolle. A modern classic by one of the most inspiring
spiritual teachers of our time. Tolle invites you to discover that
authentic human power is found by surrendering to the Now, and that the
body is actually one of the keys to entry into a state of inner peace
and transformation. Audio version highly recommended.
4. Georg Feuerstein. Tantra: The Path of Ecstasy.
Written by today’s foremost Yoga researcher, this scholarly
introduction to Hindu Tantra offers a clear understanding of authentic
Tantra. It dispels many common misconceptions about Tantra, providing
an accessible introduction to the history, philosophy, and practice of
this extraordinary spiritual tradition.
5. Tantric Quest: An Encounter with Absolute Love
by Daniel Odier. A true story based on Daniel Odier’s compelling
personal journey - his quest for tantra in India and eventual
initiation into Shivaic Tantrism by a great female yogi. Also read Odier's Desire: The Tantric Path to Awakening, a wonderful bedside table book to read aloud with your sweetie.
6. Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Compassion.
This book gives practical guidance on better ways to reframe your
communication to transform potential conflict into harmony and improve
the quality of your relationships. Indispensable conscious
communication tools for building your ideal tantric partnership.

A very useful book for men with specific practices for achieving
ejaculatory control and separating orgasm from ejaculation. Based on
Taoist sexual energy practices.
9. Sark. Eat Mangoes Naked: Finding Pleasure Everywhere and Dancing with the Pits! A reminder that enlightenment need not be serious business. Creative
and whimsical inspiration to seek out pleasure where you may not
otherwise think to find it.
10. Autobiography of a Spiritually Incorrect Mystic,
a book about Osho's life. This book spawned a deep reverence for
me for his revolutionary spiritual teachings, his immesaurable gifts to
the
world. You'll recognize aspects of the Ipsalu philosophy/paradigm as
Ipsalu Tantra is a "Tantric marriage" between Osho's methods and
Tantric Kriya Yoga. It's a fun read too with hilarious anecdotes about
the divinely mischievous antics of the little (and grown up!)
Osho.

Creating Sacred Space
The ritual of creating sacred space is a wonderful
element of Tantra. When we take the time to create a sacred
environment, we create a setting for ourselves that is extra-ordinary.
This extraordinary physical space creates special energy for a Tantric
experience that will also be extraordinary. The formation of an
external sacred space is a celebratory reminder of the sacred space
inside our bodies, in the Yoni, in our hearts. It symbolizes the idea
that our body itself is the temple.
Creating a sacred ambiance may be as simple as lighting
a candle and putting on your favorite music. It may be more elaborate,
emulating an opulent temple with a sensuous and comforting aura of
magic and a hint of mystery. An ideal Tantric temple awakens the senses
through silky textures, rich colors, fragrant aromas, tempting flavors,
exotic rhythms, and more.
